December Congregational Meeting Notes

While the weather kept some folks away, the 12/2 Congregational meeting was a smashing success and an inspiring moment in FUUBC history! In addition to passing an interim budget which is totally do-able, the membership voting - overwhelmingly - in favor of the proposed building project which was followed by a unanimous (I think) vote to proceed with the financial feasibility study followed by a capital campaign!!!

What does this mean?

Thanks to all the members who helped FUUBC survive the lean years (read pretty much the second half of the 20th century), and a board that has exercised true commitment combined with fiscal responsibility in recent years, not to mention all the energy/imagination/and enthusiasm that currently abounds in our community, we are standing on the precipice of one grand adventure!!

In the weeks and months to come, as you are asked to actively engage in this process (feasibility study, kick-off events, feedback, campaign/pledge drive, etc.) I hope you join with those who have already said "yes" to giving their time, talent, and resources to "Building Connections and growing the future" of FUUBC.
