Food Bank

On the first Thursday of every month, volunteers from our church distribute food and household articles to individuals and families. The Food Pantry is open to all with a need from 10 AM to 12 Noon. An average of 60 families (200 people) visit our Food Pantry each month.

The church's volunteer coordinator is Walter Axsmith. Volunteers pick up, stack, and distribute the food. Church members and others interested in helping may stop by to see our Food Pantry in operation and learn how to volunteer or make donations. Contributions are often needed for special personal items, such as hygiene products and cleaning products.

The food is distributed from the church building at 416 Franklin Street in downtown Reading and is part of the Greater Berks Food Bank system.
