Jubilee Anti-Racism Training 2018

December 12, 2018

You are heartily invited to the next Jubilee Anti-Racism Training-- a 2½ day power analysis of racism in our lives, church, and society. It has been called “our most effective tool for transformation around racial justice and inclusion.” By applying this powerful anti-racism, anti-oppression lens to our theology, worship, justice work, and relationships, we can become empowered to make our congregation an authentic participant in the multicultural, beloved communities we long to be.  Journey Toward Wholeness.

We are hosting the upcoming Jubilee Anti-Racism Training at First UU Berks for the Central East Region of the UUA.

Friday, January 26, 6pm-10pm
Saturday, January 27, 8:30am-9pm
Sunday, January 28, 8:30am-5pm

Register directly online at https://www.uua.org/central-east/events/region/jubilee-workshop-reading-pa-0118 or mail in the attached flyer and registration form.

Please see Rev. Sandra Fees about scholarships for the $160 registration fee (ministeruuberks@gmail.com).

HELP WANTED!

We need volunteers to serve as a hospitality team during the training (ie. help set up and clean up after meals).
We also need about 10 volunteers to host participants traveling from other churches for Fri and Sat night.
Interested in meeting our neighboring UUs? Please contact Adele Wallace at adele.claire.wallace@gmail.com or 484-529-5410.

Thank you for helping our congregation and community learn how to dismantle systemic racism together!
