What is the schedule for children on Sunday Mornings?

Children and Youth are invited to join their parents for the beginning of the church service in the sanctuary, where they can experience the music, congregational greetings, fellowship, chalice lighting ritual and specially tailored stories. The congregation sings to them as they exit the sanctuary and disperse to their classes. After the service, children under 8 should be picked up by their parents in their Sunday School rooms. Older children are invited to join their parents in coffee hour on their own.

Is there childcare for infants and toddlers during church?

Yes, we offer child care for infants and toddlers in a separate nursery. You may also stay with your child and listen to the service through speakers in the nursery.

If my child doesn’t separate well, can s/he stay with me in the service?

Yes, often parents bring infants and toddlers to the service with them.

What are the Sunday school classes like?

Please check our website for a brief description of the curriculum used in each class. We try to keep class sizes small, and there are two adults facilitating each class. Classes are held upstairs, in the DeBenneville Room next to the sanctuary, and in the Chalice House next door to the church.

Does Religious Exploration have activities other than Sunday school?

We frequently take field trips, celebrate holidays from a wide variety of cultures, and enjoy intergenerational social events.

Are GLBT families welcome?

Absolutely. We welcome and encourage people of all affectional orientations to join us.
