Growing our Minds, Hearts & Spirits!

August 30, 2018

One great and explicit place to grow the garden of your mind is in leading a Religious Education class!

Adults in our Faith Community - you have the power to learn alongside our children and youth!  There are so many wonders you will encounter as you guide the lesson in partnership with the participants.  Witnessing the “beginner’s mind” can spark that state for your own learning. It is a true gift.

Contact RE Committee if you want this gift this school year.  Lead teachers are asked to teach three week units with all lesson plans and materials provided.  Helpers are asked to help 3-4 times each semester, assisting classrooms with attendance taking, classroom management and activity support (handing out of supplies or snacks).  See a place that you can lend your gifts not listed - have a conversation with us.

Kids and Teens - you have the power to lead class in making sure your fellow classmates are learning the best way they can:  if you see a friend struggling ask how you can help; if you wonder if someone is learning more than you - ask your friend to help you understand better.
