Introducing our New Office Administrator

We are excited to announce that our new office administrator, Melissa Medina, will be starting with us next Tuesday, March 31. She has previously worked as an Administrative Assistant, and has knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite, is QuickBooks proficient, and has experience handling a wide variety of office tasks. She brings expertise in bookkeeping and also comes to us with excellent communications skills, including web and social media know-how. She currently lives in Leesport with her husband and children, having relocated from State College two years ago.

Chant for PIck Up Choir on March 22nd

This Sunday March 22nd, 2015 from 9:45 - 10:15

 

Ebee Bromley, Director of Music, will help you get in the spirit of worship by leading a morning of a variety of chants. Together you will explore some of the sounds that make up worshiping together and options for worshiping alone.

The leaders from the red tent project will join in to prepare for their service to follow.

UU Berks Presents: Dan Matz and Friends in Concert

Welcoming Back Our DRE Maria Couchman

This week we welcome Maria Couchman, our Director of Religious Education (DRE), back from maternity leave. As Maria transitions back to the position, she and Elizabeth Bromley, our DIrector of Music who has also been doubling as Interim DRE, will job share the DRE role through June 30. They will each work 10 hours per week as DRE and will be dividing and sharing the position responsibilities. Members and friends may contact either Maria or Elizabeth with questions or concerns about Children's Religious Education. Elizabeth continues to serve as our Director of Music.

Board Splinters - February 2015

The Board approved sponsorship of Sage Olnick, former Student Minister at FUUBC, for the Unitarian Universalist Ministerial Fellowship.

We are continuing to discuss the current PUC Grant requests. More to come on this!

The Board is currently considering nominees for the vacant and soon-to-be vacant Board seats. Recommendations welcome!

Our April 3rd First Friday Film at 7:00PM will feature A Bridge Apart  and The Fence.  We are excited to have Daniel Egusquiza from the new MaketheRoadPA  organization in Reading to introduce us to their organization.
